Jessica Bickel Oh no....we never get to see if Rolf marries Kalys? or Celie and Pogue? No no!! :,(

message 2: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Look into your heart. What does it tell you? ;)

message 3: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Bickel It tells me there are so many more stories! ;)

message 4: by Mariam (new)

Mariam no, how can you do this to me. from now on i will have crazy ideas because you never ended the series properly so sad please make another one

message 5: by Jessica (new)

Jessica What do you mean, I never ended the series properly? I literally tied up every loose end, told the history of the Castle, found TWO mythological creatures, and got everybody home safe! I thought I ended it very nicely! I worked hard on that ending! *sniffles*

message 6: by Mariam (new)

Mariam sorry i did not mean to hurt your feelings but you ended the book with celie crying in her dads arm saying shes home

message 7: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Yes, I know. She's home. She's happy to be there. Her family is all together . . . How is that not a proper ending?

message 8: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I'm not offended, I'm super curious about what I would have to have done to make it seem like a proper ending?

message 9: by Mariam (new)

Mariam idk but you kind of left us stranded cause celie is upset rolf doesnt want to be king and it kind of feels like celie does

message 10: by Fionnula (new)

Fionnula Enright i kinda like the ending
it kinda hints at stuff but doesn't just say it right out it leaves room to think about it and i think it is like rolf to not want to be king

message 11: by Mariam (new)

Mariam Yah but take Harry Potter for example Kay, in that book I am not wondering what is going to happen to Harry in the future because J.K Rowling answered that for us. A good book does not leave you asking questions not saying that the castle Glower series is not a good book but still

message 12: by Fionnula (new)

Fionnula Enright different authors like to write in different ways and i think among all the books this is one of the good endings to a book it isn't that huge of a question but as i said before it leaves room to ponder and make up your own stories though i do see your point i have read books where the ending bothers me and makes it seem like the next book will reveal the answer and then there is no next book but i still enjoyed the book

message 13: by Fionnula (new)

Fionnula Enright though yes i do see your point about books ending in questions that don't get answered

message 14: by Mariam (new)

Mariam yes i too also enjoyed the book but after i read i thought there was going to going to be another book, but any way i still enjoyed celies adventures so thanks Jessica for writing them

message 15: by Audrey (new)

Audrey I think that the way things ended is perfect. Everyone is safe, there are happily ever afters, and there is just enough to keep us thinking. I actually sometimes dislike it when books flash to the future. Hunger Games bothered me because it showed their kids at the end and how everything was mostly better. I would have liked better to imagine a different future for them, so I love the way Jessica tied up all the loose ends, but not too tightly.

I own nearly all of Jessica’s books and just finished reading the Castle Glower series to my nine-year-old sister this morning, and even she sighed at the end and exclaimed about its “perfect perfection.”

:D
