PurplePrimula I just got one as well. What did it for me was the phrase 'I see you like to read thrillers now and then'. Thrillers don't interest me in the slightest so at first I had a serious wonder what it was I had read that apparently constituted as a 'thriller now and then'. Came here, realised it's probably some sort of blanket bombardment not requiring me to actually reply to anything. So I shall happily ignore it. And judging from other comments here, hoping it'll just be the one time for me...

K He's still sending them in Feb. Even to people whose majority of ratings have been for *children's picture books*

Kat Yep, just got a new one. His blanket bombardment has caused people to give him 1 star reviews, and now he's urging his email list to go upvote all the 5 star reviews on his books here and on the Amazon page. NOT OKAY.

Ryan I'm not going to read anything by this jerk author. I have no doubt he is creating and buying fake reviews with so many alt accounts being used for promotion. A author does not need fake accounts

message 5: by Aly (new)

Aly Just to add that I just got an email from GR about a message from him, but (like some others here) do not like to click links in email, and came to double-check the message exists on GR since it sounded concerningly spammy, and there's no message from him on here. I'm new to GR (signed up last year but not used it properly) so was confused as to why he'd contact me. Plus, I've had less concerning free book offers from self-pubbed authors before, and this one was shiftier than normal right off the bat.

According to his Twitter bio, he's the father of drone thriller, which made me even more doubtful.

In checking out his author page on here, I have discovered this treasure trove of a thread. Guess I'll skip this book!

Bad tactics, dude. -1 actual thriller fan.
