I love the Charmed Pie Shoppe Mysteries and am really disappointed that we won't be seeing anything new for some time if ever. I live in hope that it will be back eventually.
It's been a tough time for cozy writers. With so many of us getting the boot from our publishers and scrambling to find new houses, those of us still standing are counting our blessings! Sadly, its the reader who pays the ultimate price because they're either left hanging or never get more books in the series they love. I'm sorry you're being asked to wait for new books in that series, but with two kids at home and a full writing plate, I probably wouldn't have had time to continue the series for another 2 years in any case. It's tough to make these decisions, but I don't think any publisher will pick up the Pie Shoppe because they have the lowest sales of all my series. The most loyal fans, but the lowest sales. Go figure!
I read and love all of your series. I'm sad to hear that there is such a problem with publishing houses for cozy writers as it is mine and my mother's favorite genre. Thanks for keeping us entertained with your books. They had provided many hours of enjoyment for us.

Good question Maria! I can't wait for the La Fayes to come back on the scene! Thank you Ellery - ALL your books have been rays of sunshine in my life. I just came to the author page to find this exact thing! I just read all 5 of them in the last two weeks and was hoping there was a new one coming!

I definitely wondered why the ending was so open to interpretation. Glad to know that at some point in the future, we might return to The Charmed Pie Shoppe!
I have book 1 and will treat myself to it soon. I notice you have two other series as well. So much more to enjoy. :) The "Secret Book" one looks particularly exciting but hotels supply ample mysteries too.
I just came across this post and it made me smile. The Charmed Pie Shoppe series is my all time favorite cozy mystery series. Look forward to hopes of more to come.
