I don't think Susan did it, otherwise why would she have been in the dark about the final chapters of Atticus' final book, 'Magpie Murders'? Why would she have been so obsessed with finding out where they went missing, and in finding out the murderer?
Susan however now reappears in the sequel. And appears to be not a cold murderer but just a woman vexed by doubt about her relationships and life.
