Wow. That is almost exactly the same as what I do. I don't know whether to salute or pity you ;) (it does work well for me) Now I know I'm OCD. Cheers, Nenia :)
I feel your pain. I've only done 4 books in my series and I've read the first three dozens of times now. I think it's important to though. You need your characters to be consistent and to develop in a convincing way. Once I've published book 4 I'm going to re-read the lot AGAIN. Before I even plan out book 5 :P
