Rick The book was good; the movie not so much. Well at least not in the way it just skimmed some simple ideas from the book and made no attempt at similarity. The movie was "ok" as a standalone, but the book (and the other two) go much deeper.

Andrew Kim Deeper...deeper...you're getting sleepy...LOL Just kidding. Finally saw the movie this weekend and they changed quite a bit but also gave the movie an ending, of which the book never had.

Rick That's why I said elsewhere I hope there is a fourth book, because the story seems unfinished. But his editor needs to cut out at least half of the endless, repetitive description of the same dreary landscape. With some editing, the three books could easily have been one book.
