Agreed, though I think Zoey progressed a bit more than her friends did and I'm thinking direct members of the nerd herd here (Shaunee, Erin, Stevie Rae and Damien). With the exception of Stevie Rae, I didn't feel drawn to any other members of the nerd herd as they didn't seem to have any impact on the story outside of being props to circles, or being the token gay, or beautifully different or stuck up. However, It always did strike me as odd that the characters I was suppose to root for, I hated the most, while I felt more compassion for and held more interest in the characters who were stank ho's or idiots.
