Medhat The Fanatic Reader I can see and relate to what you mean. It's like socializing and interacting with your characters in your mind, whether you like or loathe them.

Kenna McKinnon I tend to have a distance between my characters and myself, which may be why people sometimes don't interact with the characters as they do in other books. Perhaps mine are not as sympathetic.

James Sometimes sympathetic isn't always the right approach. I have a few where they are meant to just be there as comparisons to others, or even to cause disruption.
