Yes indeed, Steve! Sometimes I forget that our reading club existed, but the results absolutely stuck. :^)
Yes, reading has always had time competitors! Without vehicles to speed up everyday travel times, without electricity and indoor plumbing and all of the many inventions that help us accomplish tasks in much less time than folks could in the past, where would all of our reading time go? :^D
