Thomas Martin Point taken, but it undermines the credibility of the narrative.

Thomas Martin That's good to know, Dana.

James Andrews What does it being fiction have to do with continuity and historical accuracy, Richard?
It's a wee mistake it would seem or you could put it down to Julian misremembering but just saying 'because fiction' is no kind of answer

Richard "What does it being fiction have to do with continuity and historical accuracy, Richard?" nothing.....absolutely nothing......that is why it is called "fiction".......your response, frankly, is "no kind of answer".

James Andrews So historical accuracy is irrelevant in historical fiction? Don't talk nonsense. It's a mistake or it's intentional because Julian is exaggerating how good his life is. A wee snarky 'because this is fiction' is a wanky response to a genuine question but judging from your other answers to questions on this book, you have the market cornered on that.

Richard license is the soul of fiction, historical and otherwise.....my responses that could be characterized as "snarky" relate, IMO, only to you an yours. Thank you and good night !
