Thanks, Doug! Bought it, reading "Apt Pupil". And already read most of "Full Dark No Stars"; seems there's less supernatural horror in his short stories.
You are welcome. But another did mention Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption so I just thought about the novellas in Different Seasons and thought "hmm... Three of those stories don't deal with the supernatural". But I do recommend The Breathing Method even if it get's a bit "supernatural" in the end. It's a story that's told between gentleman in a "gentlemans' club" (No, like a REAL gentlemans' club. Not a lewd establishment. I felt like Dr. Watson was hearing a Sherlock Holmes story and forwarding it to the reader. I liked it a lot.
Btw... The non-supernatural
stories in the book Different Seasons were all made into movies. The Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil and Stand By Me.
Take care.
It was Sharon who mentioned Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption (Sorry Sharon for not acknowledging you by name in the above comment.)
And I put an apostrophe where I shouldn't've. My shame.
