Just because there are lots of endnotes does not mean that it is solidly endnoted. That scholars on the left (Farrell, Teles, Perlstein, etc.) agree with conservative scholars that many quotes were taken out of context, were not actual quotes, or were not in the work referenced suggests that the book does not represent good scholarship.
