Jana Thanx for the comment! But, no, as far as I know (for my country standards) health professionals refrain from diagnosing children with such labels since their development has not full finished (it is said that your brain and personality is still evolving till the age of 25). And that is not the impression I had of Midori, she is written as a neurotic, insecure, almost infatile girl while Toru is the strong and stable one, which for me is really stereotypical view of men and women and I feel like Murakami does not know how to write female characters that are fully human and not some damsel in distress trope/fanatasy.

Josefine Slot Yeah, Murakami ability to make interesting yet very realistic characters is so wonderful. He is incredible and humanity does not deserve such a talented writer.
