Audible has gotten back to me. It's a technical glitch, they're fixing it, and it should be corrected this morning. You'll be able to re-download the book.
They are aware of the problem and is should be fixed today per authors twitter post: https://mobile.twitter.com/Dennis_E_T...
And it appears to be fixed. I shall now retire to my dungeon, muttering darkly.
I called Audible, they have 24/7 service and made them aware of the problem and to their credit they had it fixed in 12 hours. Just finished the book yesterday, what great fun. Thank you

Well, this does explain why it seemed so short.
