I was confused as well! Trying to piece together the timeline if it was Queenie's baby..and kept rereading the first chapter.
I agree. I just reread the last part as well and that is what brought me to this Q & A page, too. It was confusing how Judy writes that she was born in Baltimore (no where near the Mississippi River) to a wealthy father who gave her up for adoption? Or was this just what she was told? And all the reviews have 5 children, but actually there were 6 if the twins lived. Then the count is off with Camillia's death? Liked the book and learned some things, but confusing wrap up.
