Elizabeth MacLeod She didn't kill him

Andrea Strickland She didn't kill him, she scared him. She pulled the trigger but the shell was laying in the snow. And said, "Now you will be afraid of the dark for the rest of your life, too."

Michele Keller She didn't kill him - she scared him. Don't you think Maya would have been "caught" if she had actually murdered someone!

message 4: by Mary (new)

Mary Z obviously you didn't read or maybe finish the book...

message 5: by Carol (new)

Carol Roote I was very confused about this part too. I had to read it three times before I finally understood that she pulled the trigger without a bullet in the gun.

Avery Bendell Thank you! I understand now!

message 7: by Janet (new)

Janet “Kevin has time to understand that he’s dying. His brain is CONVINCED that it’s exploding in blood and snot. His heart stops beating.” One thinks he died. But then,..”[His heart] starts beating again..he’s screaming.” And then Maya takes out the cartridge and walks away. She scared him.

Anwesha Maya did not kill Kevin. She did not load the gun. She wanted Kevin always to have a fear of her pulling the trigger like she will always have the fear of him raping her.
