Sabry Hi Isabel, I love your work! whenever I read one of your books it transports me to a magical world, full of unforgettable characters and places. My favorite novel is Ines of my Soul and La hija de la fortuna. I can't wait to read the Japanese Lover! Admiro su talento!

Samira I loved Paula! It was heartbreaking and emotional, but it was interesting to see where your inspirations come from. Sigue escribiendo Isabel!

Sherrie Miranda What led you to write a novel so far from your own experiences and background? I can't wait to read The Japanese Lover, but am also very curious, especially since I have an idea for a novel that mostly takes place in a country I know nothing about.
I LOVED all your books, esp. Paula and your memoirs. And Daughter of Fortune!
You are my hero! Keep writing forever!

Erika Paula was my absolute favorite. I will never forget the line about standing by the DJ at a party and the reminder that everyone else is scared too. Possibly the best line ever....read it as a teenager, now Im close to my40s and it is probably the advice I will give to my daughter .When the time comes...

Jim Rodgers I taught House of the Spirits for many years; it was the primary novel in my World Literature class for my college-bound seniors. It is a fascinating book, unlike anything I've ever read. Isabel Allende is an American treasure. Even more than that, she is a world treasure.

Amani The House of Spirit is written with a soulful hand and mind. The blend of emotions is truly moving. It will always stand at the top of my list and be one of my most recommended reads.
