Pamela Allegretto This helps explain your interest and love for all things Venetian.Venice certainly would have been an interesting city to grow up in. What town in Italy were born in?

Mary Feliciani I was born in a town named Roseto in the province of Foggia, Italy. The founders of Roseto, Pennsylvania came from my hometown. In the 1960s there was a medical study conducted in the American town that spoke to the Rosetan way of life. It was called The Roseto Effect. The author Adriana Trigiani can trace her roots back to the Italian town.
Read The Story Behind the Town in my blog to get a better feel for the town, or google The Roseto Effect.

Pamela Allegretto Lovely blog post! Yes, I am familiar with Foggia, unfortunantly, it is one of the few areas in Italy that I have not visited. It is not too far from the Province of Benevento, where my family live. I know about the town of Roseto in PA. I watched an interesting documentary about the town on PBS some time ago. How lovely that the founders came from your town of Roseto in Italy. Perhaps you have carried the "Rosetto effect" to your town in Canada.
