Sharade It's worth it ;) The five stars should tell you that...this book is not overrated at all.

Paul Decker It's absolutely not overrated.

Jo It is overrated - I can only explain the 5 stars by guessing that people wanted to reward themselves for sticking through it so upgraded it a little. If some of the excess were edited out, it would be so much better. I did stick through it, but it annoyed me to do so.

Brandeis Hopwood Almost none of this book is excess, the amount of hints and foreshadowing is the reason I keep coming back to reread these books. The amount of theory crafting and guess making ability is gives us is crazy, considering how little we actually know. If you spend the time to analyze this book and the scope of the universe Brandon is creating this book is amazing. If you want a series that is simple but exiting then I recommend something like his steelheart books.

Kathleen I finished the series and LOVED it! Definitely worth the agony of the beginning.
