Vicki’s answer to “is this book purely a psychological thriller or is there hinted supernatural/spirits involved?” > Likes and Comments

I agree with this, however, the book should have been labeled as a spiritual/supernatural book rather than a psychological thriller. I got to the end and was like WTF?? I would have NEVER read it had I known what it was... that genre is just not for me.
So you wouldn't have read the book had it not been included in the psychological thriller genre, or is it simply the twist at the end you don't like?
I wouldn't have read the book had it not been listed as a psychological thriller. I kept trying to "figure it out"... and when the twist happened, I was kind of irritated. LOL... to me, supernatural isn't really something I would have "figured out" as a possible ending to the book... so I guess the twist just wasn't "real" enough for me. Hope that makes sense??

Vicki, I completely agree. It called for suspension of disbelief beyond the typical thriller, but that's OK with me. YA author Lois Duncan dealt with this same phenomenon in "Stranger With My Face," and I had no trouble accepting it. I can't project, but that doesn't mean someone else can't. (And after reading both Ms. Duncan's book and this, I don't want to.)
