I agree Martha! I felt this book was way too crazy to have a "happily ever after ending" as well! I can't wait to see how the movie will end in Oct. I keep hearing that the ending will be different we shall see!

(Spoiler warning) I am torn about the ending. In real life I am sure he would have never even stayed one night with her. But I can't really think of a better ending. I did like that she is upset with the last thing he says to her in the book. That she can't stop thinking about it. It makes you wonder if she will attempt another murder. So I guess I'm ok with the end.
Totally agree here. While I didn't necessarily "like" the ending, I prefer that there wasn't some happy bow tied up at the end. Life is messy and so was the ending, but that's what kind of made it so perfect.
