Adrian Jessica, you took the words right out of my mouth. He was a child as much as she was. They needed each other equally to make sane in an insane situation. He did not take advantage of her but helped to keep her safe, physically and mentally, in the very abusive life she was living. I believe he was her salvation.

Candy Agree! Her life without having him there to protect her all those years, would have been completely different.

D.M. Cameron Yes. It is so easy to label, but the fragility of the human condition is a complex thing. The author delved into the hearts and souls of these damaged characters to give us, the reader, compassion for a situation that is socially unacceptable. What an extraordinary feat!
