Santiago Ortiz This books expands, and even clarifies, what is presented in Kahneman's book. As D´Arcy Thompson said: “Everything is what it is because it got that way.” Having the historic perspective on how all these ideas were conceived actually helps understand them. It's not just about the personal background in which they were generated (D actually rejected the idea of personal history as explanation of own's ideas), it's more how some ideas pushed to or facilitated others.
