Sara Thank you, this is helpful! She's currently reading The Emperor of all Maladies and enjoying that, and really wants to read the adult version. She will probably glaze over the math she cannot understand.

Bunny McFoo I could not disagree with this comment more if you paid me. The highest level of science I took was biology and the highest level of math was geometry - and both of those classes were 20 years ago. While I can't claim to understand all the mathematical concepts in this book, the story is still completely accessible!

Kairia I don't think any math courses need to be taken at all to understand this book. I don't remember any math equations from my high school classes and I understood the book perfectly fine.
