No literate author can use that name w/o knowing the resonance.
Hmm…a person who introduces Max to a mysterious place where Max doesn’t really know anyone, even DeWinter is hiding her true self, and at least one person there seems to really have it out for her. Yes, I can see why the name would be chosen. Although I agree it is the first name that is important.
