Cookie June, I saw your "review" for burned, and I agree with everything you say. I've read all her interviews about Burned and held on to the hope that KMM would keep her promise about keeping this series Dani's story. Now, well, my hopes are long gone. Say good-bye to all the potential and an epic heroine, and let's get back to beating the dead Mac horse.

June Yeah I feel like that too. The Fever series I thought was pretty so-so, not for me. I picked up Iced on a whim and was really surprised that KMM finally broke her mold by introducing a strong heroine that was not using her sex appeal as a strength. It showed KMM in a new light. That's my opinion, I think fans of Mac and BArrons will have a field day when Burned is released but the Dani fans will not be pleased. Even the synopsis sounds boring now, the secret of Barrons and Mac, can she trust him? WHAT? Is that not almost the entire plot of the fever series? KMM just went back to writing for a particular group of fans and an easy interchangeable plot.

June I did finally read some of the answers Moning posted regarding questions about Burned. Someone on my review suggested there were more things said regarding the shifting of storyline. Interesting because the way I was interpreting it was that she wants to write more Fever books after these 2. I am almost thinking that she will get back to Dani's storyline after Burned. Maybe after she has matured/aged. Just a thought.

Cookie I don't know about 2 extra books after Burned and Flayed, but Karen did say she might consider splitting Flayed into 2 books. Thank God for that answering session. She clarified that just because Mac has more POVs than Dani doesn't mean we won't be in Dani's world and that she won't be a main character (like in the case with JZB). I'm a bit relieved. At least for now.

Cookie I believe Karen said Dani will be 19 in Burned, and that she will intertwine her and Mac's story together, so I don't think there's any reason for her to write 2 more books. I still don't like the idea of Mac invading Dani's plot line, but oh well. I don't own the series.

June I was thinking that after Flayed...she does another book centered on Dani and wraps it up that way. I was just surprised that Moning said she wanted to write more books in the fever world. I had anticipated her wanting to start a different series.

Cookie She did say she wanted to write more books in the Fever world? Hm. I did not see that then. From what I remember, she once said that she has other ideas in mind that are not fever-related, and is anxious to write them. That's one of the reasons she combined mac and dani's stories together, so the writing process is expedited.

June I thought that too. Maybe I just read it too fast but I swear it said more books in the fever world. Probably my mistake but if she was planning on more books in the fever world I was thinking the next 2 books mac-centric, allowing Dani to grow up, then a third book that is dani centric after she ages. I think some fans really want her aged.

Thqueenbee I agree. Dani is actually ONLY in the first chapter--once she goes into the silvers Jada comes out and for all intents and purposes, Dani is NOT Jada.
