That does make sense but what if he stuck around and saw what she did? I guess the book didn't really explain how she did it without anyone else seeing her either...
That's very true. It was kind of a hurry up and finish writing the book kind of ending. I was listening to the audiobook version that I downloaded from the library and I thought part of it had skipped with how quickly Jack confessed. I was like wait, what?!
