I loved Eat. The part where she is kneeling by the door (I think she's kneeling behind the door) ... when she was thinking she could not possibly go on her marriage. This was written in a way that I could actually feel her pain. I took the book to a friend's house, read her that part and raved about the book. When I go to Pray, it just went downhill for me. I didn't find her revelations to be insightful. I thought she was self-absorbed, and I just couldn't relate to her anymore. I barely made it through Love (which was better than Pray). I like a journey of self-discovery, but I need a stronger protagonist (maybe less whiny ... I think. I don't know if this will help you answer my question. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer! I downloaded a sample of the book, so I think I will try it out.
So interesting what you wrote. After reading what you wrote I think Love Warrior is more Eat than Pray and Love but has those elements in it as well. Do you have a local library that could borrow it (either paper book or even electronically) so at least you can try it and if you hate it you didn't waste your money?
