herobrine is a virus, so he can't be completely killed, only the form he currently had, and traveled to a new one.
So, in Trouble in Zombie-Town, Monet/Jenny asks about Herobrine and GameKnight/Tommy knows that he saw him. But think I don't really understand is that since I haven't really read Herobrine’s War, it’s just a plot twist, and also that Herobrine’s War was written after Invasion of the Overworld.
