Irwin Fletcher You're absolutely right, but I also would not recommend using King's opinions on adaptations of his films as a guide either. His approval for an adaptation seems to depend on how closely his book is followed, and the more liberties they take the more likely King won't approve. There are exceptions of course. Such as the Dark Tower film, I can't imagine he really enjoyed that film and have to assume it was simply a business decision to support it. I wouldn't even know what to say to a person who thought The Dark Tower was a better film than The Shining. And I'm not even THAT big of a fan of the latter adaptation.
