Elizabeth That was a photoshopped picture. You cannot use dye, as all that would do is coat the outer layer. Besides, darting each adult and applying it would be a herculean task, if not impossible

Lindsay Miller I hadn't seen any of the (yes, clearly 'shopped) photos, but indeed had my facts skewed, mixing the story with that of something injected into rhino horns (made of keratin not ivory) that renders the full depth of the material both discoloured and poisonous.
Regardless, I did not intend to suggest it was a viable solution, or even the right angle of approach, as I hope the end of my response made clear.
