Sara Thank you very much, Vera! In my library, I was finding some overlap in the readership for both series. It certainly seemed to me that Judy Moody was a series for more advanced readers. I wonder if Junie B. is like comfort food for emerging readers: The language and narratives in Junie are like scaffolding for reading a more complex series like Judy Moody, so maybe emerging readers like to pair them. That's how it seems to work in my community, anyway.
