It's nothing against you, I promise. It is just very irksome when books are not given a chance. Props to you for at least considering it. I'm learning as I read it that the prose is lighthearted, if that helps any.
I'm sorry if I was too harsh, it's just because the author's manager called a reviewer b**ch on twitter for a 1 star rating. And then the author was always complaining to goodreads that the top-reviews are negative, so they started to like all 5-star ratings. She also wrote a review on amazon from a fake account, comparing her book the Fahrenheit 451. I thought all these things were very pathetic and I got mad about it.
UPD: I don't regret I predicted its 1 star. I've read it, reviewed it, gave it its 1 star because I didn't like it. Fair and square.
Books, like songs, are very personal. None of them are going to appeal to everyone. And that's okay. If they don't appeal, there's nothing wrong with the person who isn't interested (whether they've gone through the whole thing or not). And it doesn't necessarily mean the person is narrow minded. It could mean they're self-aware. They know what they like. All it means is that they just aren't in the writer's target market. There's nothing wrong with that.
I agree with you completely. You shouldn't really judge a book by it's cover, because it might be whats inside thats cool. Or, don't judge before you've learned whats inside. Thats what my brother does with mashed potatoes! He says, "Ew!" and then I say, "You haven't even tried it before." wow. That got off topic fast!
in 2018 It's still a bit strange considering that most of the reviews or three stars and below. I myself am confused but I actually read this book yesterday into today.

You go girl! Anyway, this book, though the writing was simple, was great.

And I'm sorry for my poor English, for I read in Russian.
Anyway, *challenge accepted*. I will read it in a few days and rate it fairly.
