I just finished "Leaving Independence" and I was so thrilled with that book!! I hated leaving all of those characters and now am just as thrilled to learned that you are going to write about them again! I want to thank you so much for such a wonderful story and excellent work. I read everything I can concerning the Westward expansion, fictional and non-fictional and this past summer my son drove me across country to Montana. It was the most fantastic trip of my life. We went up the trail of Lewis and Clark on the Continental Divide where Merriweather Lewis unfurled the American Flag to claim that land for America. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong century. History was my minor in college and it started my love of the settling of this country. Thank you for your wonderful work and I will be reading everything of yours that I can get.

Leanne, I am holding my breath! Not really of course as I am too old for that. I still redo that trip in my dreams and of course when showing the pictures and boring our friends and family. We crossed the Continental Divide five times and still laugh about it. It was a wonderful, bonding trip for the two of us. I look forward to the sequel so happy writing. :)
