I have to agree. I write fiction, not literature. I accept that I have friends who write literary things, but I write common, everyday stories of people--readable, entertaining, and like neighbors and common folk in any town USA. But I write. and as a very wise writer and teacher of writing says: BIS. Butts in Seat (Jane Yolen). It means quite talking about writing and sit down and write--even if you throw it all away at a later date. Just write. Somewhere along the way that gem with appear and it will become beautiful.
