Amber I see the similarity to Jurassic Park and agree. I think my main problem with it is that Bradbury seems to come down firmly on the side of "technology has caused us to lose our moral compass." Which I see as just simplistic and Luddite.

Frankie I can see that interpretation especially with the last story being one about family and connections. Not to mention the atrocity of what happens to Earth in the atomic war. In thinking of the times when it was published it was probably more of a warning about space travel and the future implications of technology. I think in today's world though it's about keeping the moral compass when using technology. Like interacting with Martians if they do exist. Instead of colonizing for our own use it's more of a balance of learning about society in terms of being humane and then applying technology to facilitate that learning and researching. I definitely understand where you are coming from though.
