thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, I can't remember the details of this book, since I have read so many books since then! I Even keeping you helpful comments in mind, I still remember feeling let down by the sudden ending to the book. Thank you
I also think she did know at the very end, because Bee had met her at Polar Station and informed her. In the last chapter she has two weeks until she returns for good.
I agree about the letter situation. It didn't fit together in the chain of events. Oh well, the rest of the book was great.
