Come on Amazon, you have got to be kidding. I have bought much longer (and far more boring) books on audible. I would love to purchase almost all Sharon K Penmans works in audio format. It is ridiculous this lady is a New York Times best selling author and wityh the possible exception of Sunne in Splendour they are not even overly long. I have been hacking around the internet trying to find out why Sharon's superb novels are not available in audio format and to be honest I had started to come to the conclusion that it was a conscious decision on the part of the author. Now at last | find it is YOU GUYS. Well sort it out I live in the UK and find it truly irritating that I cant even get LIONHEART, the paltry one novel available on audible.com in the UK (on audible.co.uk) the novel is about an English King!!!!! Come on audible it is a travesty and could be so easily remedied, I am sure the response to Sharon's audiobooks in the UK would be good. They are nmostly English (and Welsh history after all. You need to hurry, I had a heart attack and a quadruple bypass two years ago and it did not work properly. I do not know how long I have and I really want to listen to Sunne in Splendour and the Weslh Princes trilogy before...........,.
I do have some good news. When Christ and His Saints Slept will be available in the audio format sometime next year. But sadly, still no interest in my other novels, aside from Lionheart and A King's Ransom.
Stuart, thank you so much for your comments; you made my day! Mary, it is not hopeless. For years, none of my books were sold in the audio format. At least we have three that have broken through--Lionheart, A King's Ransom, and now When Christ and his Saints Slept. I would love to see Sunne go next.
I just found these books and have When Christ and his Saints Slept from Audible! I LOVE IT!!! Seems like I never have enough time to read but listening during my commutes has saved my sanity. I just love your writing Sharon and am hoping more of your books are released in audio versions soon!
I would also love to see "Sunne In Splendour" next. Sharon I expect you are sick to death of this subject but it has been a couple of years since my last query. Still absolutely zero availability in the UK. I know you have visited this country many times and you must know you have a huge fan base here. I have read Welsh Princes (The Sunne In Splendour followed by Falls the Shadow were my first two of your novels. Consequently Richard III and Simon de Montfort have been my heroes for my entire life) The world is a petty dark place at the mment and with us all locked n our houses would now not be a good tiome for your publishers to stop ignioring your British fans. I cant help feeling slighted as they are about the history of my country and yet I cannot listen too them. I have read Sunne three times and the Welsh Princes and When Christ and his Saints Slept twice each. I have spent my twilight years enjoying my favourite books from my past as audio books (it is like discovering them all over again... as long as the narrator is suitable) Sharon, I do not mean to drive you mad I am just passionate about your novels (hence the regular comments, blog messages and emails over the last 5 years!) Stay healthy and be careful. Love to all you guys in the States form the UK.
