Many of the books I let her read, I have already read ( I teach Gr.7 so I read a lot of YA books). However, I can't keep up with the speed she is reading at, so I can't read everything ahead of time.
I feel that she is too young still for EXPLICIT sex scenes which are very thoroughly described. I have no problem with kissing, or even that they have sex, as long as it isn't explicitly described (i.e. "his erect penis stuck up against his torso and I wanted it inside me so badly" etc etc.

Just to clarify - she is very aware of the "birds and the bees" and we answer any questions she comes to us with factual, science-based answers. But she doesn't need more quite yet, in our opinion.
