Bernie Walsh Thank you for the wonderful response. They only give you so much space to type questions here so please excuse my missing words! In my search to find understanding through soul searching I came across Joan Didion's book. I tried to share that with my mother but was just to much raw emotion for her to handle at the time. For me it helped open a door to understand the depth of hurt and loss that she was feeling. Maybe in time I will be able to get her interested again in reading. I have given her a copy of the Orphan Train, which was one of my favorites of last year. And I also enjoyed Girl on a Train.

The Nightengale by Kristin Hannah was a delightful year end suprise. As was My Grandmother Asked me to tell you she's sorry by Frederick Backman. I also liked the short story A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness - it deals with a child's view of the death of a parent. I often have 2 to 4 books going at one time and some fall off into the recycle pile because I can't seem to connect.

I look forward to reading more of your future writings and thank you again for sharing!
