message 1: by Martha (new)

Martha Soda is very easygoing, charismatic, everyone and by everyone I really mean everyone likes him. He knows how to treat people and beside this attributes, he is described to be very attractive and oftenly chased by girls (incluiding que square girls); he is the only one to understand Ponyboy (or so he thinks). Darry is serious, he had to grow up fast since their parents died so he got in charge of paying the bills and taking care of his brothers so they can stay together and not be sent to foster homes; since the book it's narrated by Ponyboy, it is frecuently giving you the sense that Darry is cold hearted and doesn't love him but in reality Darry is just doing the job of a parent (which mostly teenagers typically hate) and clerly loves Ponyboy but he isn't very emotional or expressive so it leaves to the (in a way) still childish mind of Ponyboy the conclussion that his older brother doesn't likes him.
