Re-reading the GFL series and found a small section related to this question that made seemed to make a direct reference to Quentin's skin tone. It may be worth a tiny bit of editing if you make another edition?

In "The Starter" when Quentin and some of the other players are greeting the new rookies arriving on the shuttle, John Tweedy pokes fun at Quentin when he notices Becka (another quarterback) arrive. He uses his tattoos to flash "YOU’RE KILLING ME, WHITEY" at Q's unhappy reaction towards seeing another potential quarterback arrive. (hide spoiler)]
