Deanna Hoard Interesting. I don't know that I would choose this interpretation in its entirety, but I like it.

Heather Brush I think this is a very good summary!!! I agree.

Bull A little late to the party, but what's the meaning of not being allowed to have a candle? Was that a setup for the scene where Beatrice is so obviously out of her mind that she fights to keep one that a child made for her

Beth Farley I really like this take on the book! How would you relate the monastery experience to this?

message 5: by Greg (new)

Greg Josh, great thoughts! Since Gawain was protecting the dragon, Gawain is therefore protecting everyone from bad things in the past. Wistan is the long lost son, I think.

Linda welch Loved your take on the book! I felt a little lost after reading it, and it all became clear after reading your summary.

Neil NIce!

Linn Tovås Interesting thoughts. I liked your view on the book, thanks for sharing :-)

Morgan Barnard Wow. I guess I may have been looking at the ending in too literal of a way. Your version of the book does make a lot of sense, though I guess I'd prefer to see it as a fantasy novel instead of a metaphor.

Alex Harris Wow! I didn't see it this way but that's a nice angle on the book
