Good morning Colonel. I'd be honored if you'd take a look at my book - an old broken Marine trying to survive Alaska in time of war. What can he do to save his family and retain his humanity? It's not quite Thailand - the action is winter-based where it is a bit cold, being interior Alaska and all. Thanks for your consideration.
Yes - that's it. I'm releasing the first book of a multi-book scifi series this week. I have books 2 and 3 written, but need to review them a few more times to make sure they are ready for prime time.
OK, I'll take a look. I just finished Book 3 of my Werewolf of Marines trilogy. and I'll take a week off to return to the universe of the United Federation Marine Corps.
Enjoy your time off and don't hurry the new one. As the G3 told me once when I asked for his updated oplan, "If you want it bad, you get it bad..."
Thanks Colonel - a Traditional Publisher bought It's Not Enough and we're turning it into a trilogy. I will also benefit from a professional editor, an issue I resolved with the other five books I've published this year - following your model to start a series and write, keeping the readers engaged. I look forward to your next UFMC novel:) I also credit you on my author page, along with some other great writers for the inspiration.
Congrats on the trad contract. After debating long and hard about it, I am starting talks with a trad publisher as well. One of the big names in scifi convinced me that I could use the experience to better hone my craft, and he connected me with the publisher. And thanks for the mention in your author page!
