Thank you Mr. Hickam! You have a very interesting story. You have always been an inspiration to me and I love your work! I have one other question. What advice would you have for anyone who aspires to become a writer one day?
Dear Madelyn: There is only one good answer on how to be a writer: Write! Write every day and have something to say. However, I will add this caveat: Read! Read heavily in the genre you wish to write because, without realizing it, you are absorbing techniques from these writers that will help you write the stories in the manner in which you hope to write. Now, get going!
