I found that scene so difficult to read, but in a strange twist, I recently starting publishing dark erotica. That scene stayed with me somehow, and although what I write is nothing like it, it has become wedged deep in my head somewhere and probably contributed to my success as an author. So, I thank you for this as my own writing is personally cathartic and apparently meaningful to others in some way.
I am permanently scarred from this - I'm literally frightened every time I see a fox-themed item in the store.
