Oh nice, so you really did the whole thing yourself ! What made you want to try everything on your own?
Probably age))) Since I have two children, a son and a daughter, I wanted to do something nice and useful for them. Children are our everything.
That’s really sweet. I can imagine that gives the books a much more personal meaning. Did your children get involved in the process at all, or were they more like the inspiration behind it?
Haha, oral reviews count What did they think of the finished book? I’m wondering how you’ve been getting it in front of other parents and families, because the whole idea behind it is really sweet.
Well, my son is already grown up and said it was good, and my daughter, who's six, loved it. I can imagine everyone else on Goodreads and Facebook probably did. It turns out presenting the book was much more difficult than writing and creating it.
I can imagine 😊 Creating the book and getting people to notice it are two completely different things. I actually enjoy that part, so I’d love to lend you an extra pair of hands with presenting and promoting it if you’d be open to that.
I was thinking about using short videos to bring the stories and the whimsical world of The Treasury of Tiny Wonders to life. Since the book is for children and families, platforms like Facebook, TikTok and YouTube could be a great way to reach parents and readers through little story snippets, character moments and fun visuals that make people curious about the book. From there, we could encourage genuine readers to discover and engage with it on Goodreads as well.
Are you already using any of those platforms for the book? If you’re comfortable sharing a contact, I’d be happy to continue the conversation there and show you some ideas for how I could help.
