Wayne Red Rabbit by Alex Grecian. A boy and his dog at the end of the world C.A. Fletcher. I think you will enjoy both.

Karen The Finley Donovan series is fantastic as is the Charlie Davidson series. Both are humorous with great characters. One is a kind of mystery and the other is...grim...

Kimberley Try Natasha Pulley, if you haven't already. My favourite of her's is The Half Life of Valerie K, but The Kingdoms is good too. Sci-fi/Romance?

message 4: by Marie (new)

Marie Recently read The Girls I've Been by Tess Sharpe - young adult thriller/mystery. It's outside my normal genres but it intrigued me and it's now a runner for my favorite book of the year.

L I am listening to the latest Scalzi book performed by Wil Wheaton. He is my one of my favorite performers. The other is RC Bray who performs the Expeditionary Force audiobook series. My son and I listen to that in the morning at breakfast. There's nothing quite like hearing a person (not AI or automated voice) perform an author's work.

Liz Two books I always recommend: Dear Henry, Love Edith by Becca Kinzer and Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan (definitely do the audiobook; Julia Whelan is a narrator and is wonderful!!)

S.E. Martha Wells' Murderbot books are so fun, and while they don't sound it, they are fun, and endearing. "Dungeon Crawler Carl" by Matt Dinniman are a wild ride. Or for something a bit cozy, romantic, with a fantasy element try, "The Teller of Small Fortunes," by Julie Leong, or "The Spellshop," by Sarah Beth Durst. Or if you want to go further afield try, "What You Are Looking for is in the Library," Michiko Aoyama, I love Japanese authors.
