So I just Google Translated 'Stiefvater' and it means 'Stepfather' from German to English. Not sure how accurate that is but if you're looking for a legit answer there you go :) x
Yes it does literally translate to 'stepfather', although I prefer M. Stiefvater's translation ; )
Same really, it also makes me want to change the meaning of my own last name, but I mean what can you change Winter to? :P
