For those wondering, the German publishers seem to have just given each volume individual titles: "Sterben", "Lieben", "Spielen", "Leben", and "Traümen" so far: http://www.amazon.com/gp/bookseries/B...
The title is apt. You're associating the title of another with this one. They are different, and as a baby-boomer having experienced what Karl has gone through, I find the title appropriate.
